Manual winches are used to move (vertically or horizontally) relatively small loads. This drawback does not allow the use of this equipment in production, where it is necessary to operate with tons, but for working with small-sized cargo (at home, on a construction site, during engine repair), a manual winch will be very useful.
Types of winches: automobile, lever, drum, manual
Drum - the most common due to its ease of use. They work when the handle is rotated, as a result of which a cable is wound around the drum. They are mainly used for simple work, as they will not allow to increase the pulling force by more than two times and operate at a height above human height.
Lever - used mainly for repair work (installation, dismantling). Lever winches are appreciated for their compactness and the ability to work without fixing.
Worm - have a small size and do not require much effort. The operation is provided by a drive made in the form of an “endless screw” or “Archimedes screw”.
Automotive - as the name implies, are used to lift or pull out a car.
Our store, LOSK TOOLS, offers a wide selection of lifting equipment (including automotive) and consultation of competent sellers for those who are not sure about the choice.
